KUWAIT CITY, July 3: Security operatives arrested three people, including two Asians, in Jleeb Shuyoukh area for running illegal international call business. They seized telephones and computer used in the trade and referred the suspects to concerned authority for legal action. A security source said patrolmen on a round of the area spotted the first suspect walking and asked him to stop for checking, but he tried to run away.

The officers chased him to a flat where two Asians were operating illegal international calls. All three suspects were taken into custody. As per instructions from acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, security campaigns will continue in all governorates over an indeterminate period to ensure law and order.

Hashish seized: A Kuwaiti citizen accompanied by two ladies was arrested in possession of a piece of hashish and narcotic pills known in the market as ‘larka’.

Meanwhile, security operatives arrested a Sri Lankan expatriate in Thaher area in possession of heroin. Also, an Egyptian expatriate reported to the police that an unknown person broke into his vehicle and made away with valuables. A case was registered
