Asian woman run over, killed

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 20: Police are looking for an unidentified motorist for running over and causing the death of an Asian woman while she was crossing the road between Taima and Al-Oyoun areas, reports Al-Anba daily. The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics.

Meanwhile, a 10-year-old student, who was run over by an Indian motorist in front of a school in Daiya, has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily. During interrogation the Indian said the student ran on the middle of the road and he could not avoid hitting him. A case has been filed against the Indian.

Indian held with liquor: Personnel from the Hawally Security Directorate have arrested an Indian for possessing and drinking alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspect was caught in Salmiya following a collision with another vehicle which was parked in front of a building in the area. At the time of arrest he was driving the vehicle of his sponsor. A case of driving under the infl uence of alcohol, and damaging cars has been registered against him.

Strange behaviour: An Indian passenger who arrived at the Kuwait International Airport aboard a flight from Doha has been referred to the Psychiatric Medicine Hospital, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the Indian was in transit in Doha and reportedly started behaving hysterical and misbehaved with passengers and crew. Initial examinations show the Indian is suffering from psychological problems.
