Asian taxi driver caught selling liquor

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: An Indian taxi driver was arrested in Mangaf for trading in alcohol with 94 bottles of local liquor in his possession, reports Al-Rai daily. While patrolling the area, a team of securitymen noticed the agitated demeanor of the suspect when he asked him to pull over for routine inspection. This has prompted the security officers to thoroughly check the taxi, resulting in the discovery of the local liquor bottles ready for sale. A case was registered and the taxi driver was referred to the relevant security unit for legal measures.

Forgers arrested: A team of officers from the Criminal Investigation Department in the Interior Ministry arrested a gang involved in forging stamps worth KD 10, reports Al-Anba daily. The officers took the necessary action immediately after the Operations Room received information that two Pakistanis forged KD 10 stamps which they sold to Egyptian company representatives (‘mandoubs’) at half the price.

Woman swindled: Hawally securitymen arrested an Iraqi for swindling a Jordanian woman who paid him KD400 as he claimed to be a lawyer and promised to handle the case of her relative, reports Al-Anba daily. The woman told police she could no longer contact the suspect after giving him the money.
