KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: Customs officers at the airport arrested an Arab expatriate who tried to smuggle sexual enhancement pills and dildos from an unspecified Asian country to Kuwait. Security sources said customs officers found several pills and dildos carefully wrapped and hidden inside the luggage of the Arab expatriate while performing their routine check of passengers’ luggage. Investigation revealed that the suspect intended to sell the contraband here in Kuwait.
Caught for bribing :Four Arab expatriates have been referred to the Public Prosecution for attempting to bribe a female employee of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the four men promised to give the woman KD 500 for each illegal transaction she accomplished. According to the source, the employee pretended to accept the offer and told one of them to wait until she made proper arrangement to pass the transactions and informed her boss. The boss then informed the personnel from the Residence Affairs Department, set a trap and caught the men red-handed.
IMP papers dumped: When an unidentified person saw important documents by the side of a road at an unidentified location, he informed the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry, reports Al-Rai daily. The Fahaheel police rushed to the area and found 18 civil IDs belonging to Kuwaitis, 3 birth certificates, 4 Saudi passports, one Kuwaiti passport and 16 credit cards. A security source said it is likely a thief may have thrown them away sensing no use of these documents. However, the owners of these documents will be summoned for interrogation to find out how they lost their personal documents and to find out if they have reported the loss to the concerned authorities. However, according to Al-Anba daily a Kuwaiti man called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry when he saw hundreds of documents such as IDs and pictures of citizens, residents and children and empty wallets thrown all over the place in Sulaibiya.
Liquor peddler caught: Ahmadi securitymen nabbed an Asian expatriate in Mahboula area for peddling in alcohol and seized 20 bottles of local brew in his possession, says Al- Seyessah. Security sources said patrolmen on a round of the area spotted a man loading some items from a water carton into the trunk of his car. They approached him for checking and found water bottles filled with local liquor. He admitted peddling in alcohol and added he was waiting for a friend to deliver the contraband to a customer. He was referred with the liquor to concerned authorities. In another incident, Ahmadi securitymen arrested two citizens; the first citizen was wanted in connection with KD 3,436 case and the second KD 80. They were referred to the relevant authorities for necessary action
