Asian held for providing international calls

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: Security operatives arrested an Asian expatriate in Farwaniya for operating illegal international calls, and confiscated gadgets used in the trade. He was referred to concerned authorities. Meanwhile, securitymen from Sulaibiya police station arrested an Asian expatriate in possession of 60 bottles of local liquor which he confessed selling to customers in the area for KD10 per bottle.

Security sources said the Asian aroused suspicion of patrol officers while waiting in his vehicle for a customer and he tried in vain to escape after they searched inside the car and found the contraband. He was referred to drug prosecution.

Port staffer in drug trade: An Egyptian employee of Shuwaikh Port was arrested for drug peddling, reports Al- Shahed daily. According to sources, detectives in the port arrested the suspect in possession of hashish and a small quantity of heroin. He was referred to the Directorate General for Drugs Control for investigations.

Wanted for 18 crimes held: A Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for 18 crimes was arrested, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, when patrol officers stopped him for checking his civil ID, he became nervous and ran away but securitymen chased and seized him. When they checked his details, they discovered he is a Kuwaiti citizen wanted by law for 18 financial and criminal cases. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
