KUWAIT CITY, July 11: An Asian expatriate died when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a Kuwaiti citizen in Fintas area while he was crossing the road. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and found an expatriate lying on the ground in a pool of blood. They examined him and discovered he was dead. The motorist, a Kuwaiti citizen, said he was surprised when the victim suddenly crossed the road and he was unable to stop the vehicle on time. The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department, while the motorist was arrested and referred to the police station of the area.
Police car topples: A patrol vehicle of Public Security Sector, which was carrying individuals who are wanted by law for various cases, toppled on Fifth Ring Road after colliding with two vehicles. According to security sources, the officers from the Public Security Sector were heading to Ahmadi Governorate after arresting the wanted individuals when the accident took place. No casualties were reported. A case was registered and investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
