KUWAIT CITY, April 20: The Hawally police have arrested an Asian for bootlegging, reports Al-Shahed daily. The suspect was reportedly standing beside a car and when he saw police, he started running. Police chased and caught the Asian and seized from him 95 polyethylene bags filled with local booze.
Drugs with women: The Farwaniya police have arrested two Egyptian women for possessing and consuming drugs, reports Al-Rai daily. The female pedestrians were reportedly arrested after their behavior aroused the suspicion of police on duty in the area. The police then checked their bags and found in one bag meth and in the bag of the woman eight drug pills. One of them was also wanted by law in connection with fraud and betrayal of trust crimes.
Generator stolen: Police are looking for an unknown person for stealing a power generator belonging to a telecommunications company, reports Al-Anba daily. The complaint has been filed by the company lawyer. In his complaint he said the theft was discovered by the company’s technicians. The thief reportedly, broke through the iron barrier of the station and committed the theft. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
Betrayal of trust: An Egyptian salesman working for a medical company has filed a complaint with the police accusing a compatriot of betrayal of trust, reports Al-Anba daily. The compatriot reportedly took medicines worth KD 2,500 to distribute them to pharmacies but reportedly escaped with the money to his home country.
Drugs seized: Officers from Ahmadi Security Directorate apprehended a Kuwaiti citizen in Fahaheel area in possession of illicit drugs and a knife, says Al-Seyassah. A security source said the officers were on a round of Ahmadi governorate when they spotted the suspect and checked him. They found illicit drugs with a knife in his keep, and referred him to the concerned authority. Meanwhile, Farwaniya securitymen nabbed a Kuwaiti man in Ardiya area under the influence of alcohol and seized a bottle of imported liquor from him.
