KUWAIT CITY, Sept 4: There has been record increase in prices of tickets with resumption of direct commercial flights between Kuwait and Egypt after number of passengers and flights were agreed upon. Price of an arrival ticket from most destinations has been increased by 6 times higher than the price of a departure ticket.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Travel and Tourism Offices, Muhammad Al-Mutairi stated that there has been rise in ticket prices is currently normal as due to restriction of operational capacity of arriving flights, opening operation capacity of departure flights, passengers returning from holidays and market supply and demand.

According to the latest prices of tickets from Kuwait to Egypt is 58 KD , whereas from Egypt to Kuwait is 550 KD. Currently 9 Kuwaiti and Egyptian flights will be operating between two countries to which seat sharing has been assigned, reports Al Rai. Airport authorities are awaiting Cabinet Ministers' decision to increase capacity at the Kuwait International Airport.

Approval from Indian authorities to start flights from India to Kuwait administration is still waiting for an approval which is expected to be finalized this week.
