KUWAIT CITY, Mar 18: An Arab expat was arrested for bringing large quantities of drugs through the sea route from neighboring countries. Information was received by the General Administration for Narcotics Department that a person had brought in a large quantity of drugs into the country from a neighboring country by sea with an intention of trafficking.
After conducting investigation and upon verifying its authenticity necessary legal permission was issued which was coordinated with Coast Guard Department where a large quantity of drugs which was dumped in seabed was recovered. After examining the content it was found 20 kgs of hashish contained in a bag.
The accused was arrested with the seized items, he confessed to the charges levied upon him. He was referred to the competent authority to take legal action.
