Vaccinations to speed up
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 27: Apartment hotels might be included in the list of hotels allocated for the institutional quarantine of arriving passengers, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a reliable source from Kuwait International Airport.
The source clarified this move requires the approval of the health authorities, assessing health-related conditions to ensure they are in line with the institutional quarantine mechanism, and organizing the passengers’ movement from one location to another; adding that the prices have yet to be discussed.
On the other hand, sources from the Ministry of Health told the daily that the recent increase in the number of people getting vaccinated against coronavirus is a manifestation of its efforts to vaccinate the highest number of people in the next few months. Sources disclosed the number of those who got vaccinated as of Tuesday evening reached 228,000 citizens and expatriates – 5.3 percent of the population.
Sources said it is expected that the number of people getting the vaccine will increase in March and April, especially after the opening of vaccination units in several health centers in various health districts; in addition to the continuous operation of Kuwait Vaccination Center in Mishref.
Sources stressed the importance of strictly adhering to the health regulations, even if taking one or two doses of the vaccine to guarantee the safety of everyone.
