KUWAIT CITY, May 23: An Egyptian died and four others, including a fire officer, were injured when a three meters high wall collapsed in the basement of a building under construction on Baghdad Street in Salmiya, reports Al-Rai daily.

When police and firemen arrived at the scene of the mishap they discovered the wall had come down on the scaffolding. Three Egyptians working on the site were injured and rushed to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital. One of them, 42, was taken to the intensive care after losing consciousness, but died of injuries sustained.

A security source said one of the officers of the Salmiya fire station suffering from shortness of breath was treated on site by emergency medical personnel.
