Amir receives Yemen President

KUWAIT CITY, March 15, (KUNA): Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, accompanied by senior officials, arrived in the country on Tuesday starting a two-day official visit.

President Hadi was welcomed at the airport by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al- Sabah be accommodated by an honorary mission headed by the Amiri Diwan Advisor, Khaled Al-Flaij.

President Hadi is accompanied by Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Abdulmalak al- Mekhlafi , Finance Minister Munser al-Quaiti and other top ranking offi cials. His Highness the Amir later received the visiting Yemeni president at Bayan Palace on Tuesday.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was present at the meeting. After the reception, offi cial talks were held between the two sides. The Kuwaiti side was chaired by His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al- Hamad Al-Sabah and senior state offi cials.

The Yemeni side, meanwhile, was chaired by the Yemeni president and his senior offi cials. The talks shed light on the latest developments in Yemen and stressed the importance of supporting the country’s legitimacy, security and stability. The talks also tackled promoting bilateral ties in all domains. Later, His Highness the Amir held a lunch banquet on the honor of the visiting Yemeni president and his accompanying delegation.
