Amir receives Sudan President

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace on Sunday the visiting Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir and his accompanying delegation. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah attended the audience.

His Highness the Amir led the Kuwaiti side in the bilateral official talks, together with His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and senior state officials. President Al-Bashir led the Sudanese side to the talks, together with senior state officials of the Republic.

The talks reviewed bilateral ties, and means of promoting them in all fields for broadening cooperation between the two sister countries and achieving expectations of their people for mutual interests, said Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah. They also discussed issues of common interest. Later, His Highness the Amir held a luncheon at Bayan Palace in honor of President Omar Al-Bashir and his accompanying official delegation.
