His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Karate Championship for Youths of the 2016/2017 season concluded at the Salmiya Sports Club Hall. The team of Al-Tadhamon sports club were crowned Kata team champions after they came first, followed by Al- Shabab team in second while the third place was shared by the teams of Kazema and Qadsiya clubs.

In the Under-11 singles category, Hassan Al-Mejadi from Al-Shabab Club came first, followed by Mohammed Basheer from Al-Tadhamon club in second place and Zaid Faisal from Kazema club and Nasser Al- Farhan from Qadsiya club in third place. In the Under-13 singles category, Hassan Kamal from Salmiya Club took first place followed by Ahmad Al-Musallam from Qadsiya Club in second place while Mohammed Al-Shouli from Kazema Club and Sayed Alaa from Yarmouk Club took third place.

On his part, Deputy Chairman of Kuwait Karate Federation Munahi Al-Fadhli praised the winning teams and players for their efforts and performance throughout the competition. He commended the care and support shown by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah towards sports in general but particularly Karate, which has seen a significant improvement in the past years.
