KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: The head of the Workers’ Union at the Ministry of Education, Saleh Al-Azmi, held the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education at the Ministry, Osama Al-Sultan, fully responsible for losing the rights of the education employees due to the lack of vision and poor performance. Al-Azmi said the Assistant Undersecretary is unable to lead the educational districts and has not paid any attention to reforming their system since taking office.

Rather, complaints from employees and teachers increased due to the mismanagement of many files during his tenure, including employee evaluations, which are still labeled ‘your place is secret’. He said, what is happening with the employees of Ahmed Al-Saqqaf Intermediate School for Boys in the Jaber Al-Ahmad District which falls under the Capital Education District is a blatant example of those problems that the various schools of Kuwait suffer from.

He pointed out the employees and teachers of that school and others have filed more than one complaint with the desire to solve their problems and issues, but it became clear to everyone that the Al-Sultan ignored those complaints and proved that he is unable to assume responsibility. He explained that one of the reasons for losing the education compass during the last period since the start of the Corona crisis and until now is mainly due to Al-Sultan.

Al-Azmi called, on the next minister of education who will come in after the government formation, to open this file immediately and remove incompetent officials from their positions so that the educational process in the country develops properly and protects the future of students and all the legitimate rights and demands of employees and teachers.
