Al-Sadiq Mosque to be ‘ready’ by Ramadan – Restoration in progress

KUWAIT CITY, April 15: Governor of the Capital Governorate Thabet Al-Muhanna was recently quoted as saying the Al-Sadiq Mosque in downtown Kuwait City will begin receiving worshippers in the holy month of Ramadan, reports Al-Rai daily. He went on to say the restoration work and renovation of the mosque is in progress and expected to be completed by then. He stressed HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad is personally following up the situation of this mosque.

He was speaking after paying a visit to the mosque to get first hand information on the works being carried out on the mosque. During the visit he was accompanied by the Assistant Undersecretary for Maintenance Work at Ministry of Public Works Mohammed bin Nakhi. Bin Nakhi said he expects the mosque to be ready by the middle of June 2016. He emphasized the work is being done as per the schedule and the re-inauguration is set prior to the holy month of Ramadan.
