Al-Sa’ad stun Ibrahim Team to advance

Al-Qena’i dominate Al-Ansari 5-0

KUWAIT CITY, May 23: Martyr Essa Al- Sa’ad Team spanked Martyr Mohammad Ibrahim Team 4-2 to qualify for round two of the Jabriya Cooperative Society Ramadan Futsal Tournament inside the Sports Hall of Mohammad Ismael Al-Ghanim High School.

The two teams showed character and determination in their approaches to the game, which remained goalless until the last three minutes of the first half when Al-Sa’ad players within two minutes buried the ball twice in the back of the net.

This restored confidence in the players through which Mohammad Ghamrawi, Mustafa Hassan, Mohammad Al-Sabahi, Ali Abdul-Nour, Wael Fouad and Amr Essam became more formidable. However, the opponents were unsettled at that point in spite of the scintillating performances from the quartet of Ahmad Al-Qallaf, Ali Kamil, Mahmoud Abbas and Khalil Kamil. In the second game, Martyr Essa Al-Qena’i Team defeated Martyr Ahmad Al-Ansari 5-0.

The winners dominated the field of play right from the beginning to the end of game. Strikers Redha Yahya and Ali Al-Mutairi were thorns in the flesh of Al-Ansari defense, while Hussein Safar, Mohammad Jamal, Mohammad Essa and Abdullah Awad coordinated the midfield fantastically well to create scoring chances for their strikers.

The organizers awarded three points in favor of Martyr Mohammad Safar Team after withdrawal of their opponents Martyr Ibrahim Al- Mansour Team. The story was no different in the fourth game when Martyr Salman Al-Sharrah Team was awarded three points after Martyr Abdul-Latef Al-Wuhaib Team withdrew from the match. Spectators were treated to a fun-filled moment with a raffle draw through which many of them won valuable prizes.
