KUWAIT CITY, May 31: The matches on the fourth day of the 38th Late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Ramadan Futsal Tournament did not witness a torrent of goals like the previous three days.

The Late Ahmad Al-Roumi team defeated the Late Abdullah Al-Medlij team by 1-0 score. The “blues” defeated the Late Musaed Al-Mailam team by the same goal margin. The Late Ali Karam Team reached a goalless draw in their match with the Kuwait Capital team.

In the first game, footballer Nasser Al-Alban scored the lone goal which had helped the Late Ahmad Al-Roumi team defeat the Late Abdullah Al-Medlij team in the dying minutes.

Scintillating performance of the Al-Medlij team had surprised the spectators, as they did not include players who are professionals in indoor games. The team instead depended on players who take the sport as a hobby.

The second game finished without either of the teams – Late Ali Karam and Kuwait Capital – scoring a goal. Both teams were cautious in the method of approach, making them goal shy until the last whistle.

In the third match, the Blues overcame attacks from the Late Musaed Al-Mailam team to emerge victorious when footballer Najib Al-Ali saw the back of the net.

In the matches slated for Thursday, the teams of Atom Sporting and Fawaz Refrigeration will face each other in the first match while the second match will be between Dar Al-Muhammadiyyah and Late Essa teams, and the third between Kuwait Steel and Al-Medhmar teams.

Meanwhile, the spectators were enthusiastic about participating in a competition sponsored by the major sponsor of the tournament – Zain Telecommunications Company. The participants were made to play towards four circles and those who struck the target won Samsung phones and air tickets.
