Al-Qadsiya Karate Team won the Championship Cup for public group during the 2015/2016 sports session with 18 points, while Al-Shabab Team took the second spot with 15 points and Al-Yarmouk landed on third place with 10 points. This is part of the final stage of the public competitions in the ongoing Crown Prince Cup for Karate at the Union Play Hall in Salmiya Club. The teenagers and youth tournament is scheduled for Wednesday and the Crown Prince Cup for Karate will conclude on May 10.

On the other hand, Secretary General of Karate Union Emad Behbehani lauded Al-Qadsiya Club for winning the public competition during the tournament. He added the public competition was very tough and challenging, as seen during the final day with Al-Qadsiya taking the lead. He then congratulated the club for winning this competition.

Behbehani also praised the efforts of all the clubs in ensuring the success of the current session and their keenness to develop the game. In other development, Al-Qadsiya Club won the medal of the year for gymnastics after getting 31 points to lead the list in the championship, whereas Kathem Club won the second place with 24 points, followed by Kuwait Club with 12 points.

Chairman of Al-Qadsiya Club Sheikh Khaled Al-Fahad, Board Member Sheikh Fahad Ahmed Al-Fahad, Advisor to the Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Dr Saqar Al-Mulla, and Secretary General for Gymnastics Fahad Sawlah attended the final ceremony in honor of the winning teams. General Manager for Gymnastics at Al-Qadsiya Club Waleed Al-Kandar congratulated the team on their win.
