KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: The extraordinary general meeting of Kuwait Sports Shooting Club presided over by Board Chairperson Engineer Duaij Al-Otaibi endorsed the new organizational structure of the club with the approval of all its members — as per Decree No. 953/2016, Olympic conventions and policy of the International Shooting Federation.In a speech, Engineer Al-Otaibi commended the general assembly, affirming that Kuwait Sports Shooting Club will continue its achievements.He also said the club looks forward to participate in various important tournaments.In his role, deputy chairperson of the club Abeed Manahes Al-Osaimi praised the role of the general assembly and its keenness to develop shooting sports in the country.He also indicated keenness of the board in implementing decisions and directives issued by the government that represents supreme welfare of Kuwait.Al-Osaimi noted new amendments in the structure and cited full membership of specialized shooting clubs at Kuwait Olympics Committee, including the Sea Sports Club and Disabled Sports Club which were not recognized in the past — not even at the Olympics level — despite their achievements.He pointed out that the new organization statute respects sovereignty of Kuwait and protects public funds through the supervision of Public Authority for Sports.
