Al-Mutairi wins First Endurance in Horse Racing Championship

Nayef Al-Mutairi with his horse Romero emerged winner of the First Endurance in Horse Racing Championship, which was organized by the Hunting and Equestrian Club of Kuwait and sponsored by the Public Authority for Sport, Burgan Bank and Kuwait Real Estate Company. A total of 88 horse racers participated in the four-stage 100-km race.

The rider of the horse Tang Dali from Saudi Arabia took second place followed by Michelle Al-Enezi in third place. The fourth position went to the horse Arak owned by Mohammad Al-Ajmi. Khalid Al-Mutairi with the horse Al-Husam took fi fth place and Nasser Al-Dousari took sixth place.

According to Secretary General of the club Ahmad Abul, concerted efforts are ongoing to ensure the international ban on Kuwait horse racing is lifted, as this will enable the horse riders to compete at the global level. He said all concerned offi cials have been exerting joint efforts to attain successful championship. Abul expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Public Authority for Sport for their enormous support towards the sport, and praised the valuable prizes that have been allotted for the winners.
