Al Mulla Exchange organizes seminar on India budget 2018 – Experts shed light on tax amendments, direction of economy and financial impact for NRIs

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Al Mulla Exchange along with the Kuwait Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India hosted a seminar on the Indian budget 2018 at the Crowne Plaza, Farwaniya recently.

Tushar Arora, Senior Economist at HDFC Bank and CA Kirit Mehta Tax Expert & Senior Partner at G.P. Kapadia & Co were the keynote speakers at the event presenting details and insights on the Indian budget.

The event started sharp at 6:00 pm with a welcome speech by Hormuzda Davar, Managing Director of Trading, Manufacturing & Financial Services, Al Mulla Group. Tushar Arora took the audience through the broad features of the budget vis a vis the global economy. Kirit Mehta on the other hand gave a detailed analysis on how the budget affects the different sectors and more specifically from the perspective of the NRIs. As a tax expert he also dwelled on tax amendments, directions to the Indian Economy, Economic and Financial Impact for the NRIs as well as the Other Tax Issues including Planning for Managing Wealth.

The seminar was followed by a lively Question & Answer session where the queries of the attendees were answered in full satisfaction by the speakers. Following Q&A was the vote of thanks given by Shakir Kaizar of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI), Kuwait Chapter.
