Al Kout welcomes 2018 with unique celebrations – Events and thrilling surprises for youth and family

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: Souq Al Kout, part of the Al Kout project, Kuwait’s largest waterfront retail and leisure destination, will be welcoming 2018 through live music performances and a series of exciting activities and events for both the youth and the family during three consecutive days from to Dec 29 to 31, 2017.

For the 4th year running, Souq Al Kout stages an exceptional celebration to ring in the new year, this time through a musical journey titled “Rhapsody”, which takes the audience on a nostalgic drive from past to present where they will enjoy the golden hits of both East and West from the 60’s to present day being played by three live bands on Dec 31st from 2:00 pm until midnight, with the event ending with a spectacular fireworks show.

Three local musical bands will be participating in “Rhapsody”, along with a cultural music show group, each with its own unique style. Two bands, Afterthought and Omar Afuni will present an array of English Golden Hits. The Kuwaiti group, Nujoum Kuwaitiya, will participate with an engaging musical show in Arabic, while the Suyouf Al-Sham Musical Group will present their unique show of Syrian folklore. Activities will be made available for the entire family, in addition to a unique offering of restaurants and coffee stalls, which will be participating for the first time in Souq Al Kout until midnight whereby the event will be concluded with an exceptional fire-works show.

Furthermore, a number of interactive activities will be held on Dec 29 and 30, including numerous activities and competitions that would appeal to all members of the family, especially children, in addition to a number of arts and crafts activities, face painting, musical statues and pony rides. On this occasion, Nermeen Bishady, Al Kout Marketing Manager, expressed Al Kout management’s happiness at the huge success of the events of past years, while expecting this year’s celebrations to witness a larger number of youth and families of all age groups. She reiterated Al Kout’s commitment to host highly entertaining, educational and enlightening cultural events that bring joy and mark special occasions, all in a unique waterfront setting.
