KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: Al-Jahra won the Kuwaiti Basketball Federation Shield with 92-78 victory over Al-Qadsiya while Al-Kuwait claimed third position by beating Al- Nasr 79-41.Board Chairman of Kuwait Basketball Federation Dhari Al-Barjes, his deputy Sheikh Ali Al-Khalifa, and Chairman of Al-Jahra Sporting Club Deham Al-Shammari handed over the trophy to captain of the winning team Mohammad Al-Mutairi in the presence of the Secretary General Haitham Baroun, several board members of the federation, and Al- Jahra Club.The final game was full of passion from both teams but Al- Jahra players were able to dominate the game before the end of the first half, while Al-Qadsiya players struggled to reduce the difference to approximately 5 points and sometimes increased to 15 points.In the middle of the fourth quarter of the game, Al-Qadsiya managed to reduce the deficit to 2 points, while Abdullah Al-Sarraf and Turki Hamoud’s brilliant throws frustrated the efforts of Fuhad Al-Suba’e and Shaye Muhanna.
