Al-Itihad top Fawaz to join group of qualifiers – Aden Mill, Libya’s Al-Itihad, Al-Mohamadia advance into next-round

KUWAIT CITY, June 8: Al-Itihad Club team have joined the train of qualifiers after achieving a deserving win in their match against Fawaz Refrigeration team by a 4-1 score on the 12th day of the late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Futsal Tournament.

In the first match, the Samra Aden Mill team obtained their first three points in the tournament by defeating the Atom Sporting team by three goals. As a result, the Samra Aden Mill team have revived their hope for qualification. On the other hand, the Atom Sporting team are out of the early qualification race after being defeated twice in the first round.

In the second match, Libya’s Al-Itihad club qualified for the second round after winning the final game of the first round against Fawaz Refrigeration. The team is considered to be the best organized and collective team so far in the first round.

In the third match, Dar Al-Mohamadia team won against Al-Medmar team by a goal, thereby qualifying for the next round.

In today’s matches, Qatar’s Triple O team will meet Kazma team, Ministry of Electricity and Water team will meet BMW team, and RAR team will face Al-Zamel Rehab Center team.

Kazma team need at least a draw when facing Triple O team in order to secure qualification to the second round. This is because both teams have three points each.

BMW team will be working on consolidating their position on top of the group, after they acquired full points in their first two matches of the first round. In other groups, RAR team are striving for either a win or a draw in order to qualify for the next round. They had pocketed four points in their previous two matches.

In the amateur category, Al-Falah team, in their first appearance at the tournament, defeated Al-Brazil team by a score of 5-0. In the second match, the late Sheikh Khaled Al-Yousef team managed to achieve their important victory at the expense of Gulf (B) team after winning three goals to nil.

In the final match, which was described as the most impressive match of the day in terms of performance, the team Martyr Faiq Abduljaleel defeated Al-Hilal (B) team by one goal to nil.

In today’s competition, the teams that will play in order to qualify to the second round are – Hassan Abul team versus Jahra Stars team, Yarmouk (B) team versus Al-Ameed team, and Al-Hilal (A) team versus Brazoka team.
