KUWAIT CITY, June 6: In today’s matches of the ongoing 38th Late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Ramadan Futsal Tournament 2017, the participating teams are intuitively following the theme “early qualification”.

The first match on Wednesday will be between the teams of Samra Adan Mills and Atom Sporting, which will be followed by the match between the teams of Libya’s Al-Itihad Club and Fawaz Refrigeration.

The final match of the day will be between Dar Al-Mohammadia and Al-Medmar teams.

According to the stats, if Al-Itihad team defeat Fawaz Refrigeration team, both teams will qualify to the second round, as both had managed to win their matches in the first round against Samra Adan Mills and Atom Sporting teams.

However, Dar Al-Mohammadia team needs to defeat Al-Medmar team in order for it to go through to the second round. The same applies to the Al-Medmar team.

Meanwhile, former Libyan star Tareq El-Tayeb thanked the organizing committee of the tournament headed by Abdullah Al-Rawdhan for inviting him to lead the Arab All-Stars team against the Zain All-Stars under the captainship of former Manchester United and Wales legend Ryan Giggs.

El-Tayeb extolled the reception he received upon his return to Kuwait after his professional experience with Al-Nasr Club for a year.

He affirmed that he considers Kuwait as his second home country.

In an interview with Al-Rawdhan Diwaniya, El-Tayeb revealed that he had received an offer from Al-Arabi Club but it was not as attractive as it was supposed to be.

He indicated that the local league continues to suffer from lack of supporters in the field as well as proper media coverage.

Regarding the opportunity to play alongside distinguished players, El-Tayeb explained that he has played alongside great players in Libya. He has experience playing in Saudi’s Al-Hilal Club alongside Yasser Al-Qahtani, whom he considers to be the best attacker he has ever played with.

In the amateur category, Al-Hilal (A) team smashed the dreams of A.C. Milan team of going through to the second round after defeating them by a last-minute goal.

The team Barazouka defeated Atom Sporting (A) team with a score of 5-0.
