DUBAI, UAE, Feb 3: Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman, Al Habtoor Group, welcomed Michael Wale, President, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide on Feb 2. Wale was accompanied by Guido De Wilde, Senior Vice-President and Regional Director, Middle East. Also present was Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO, Al Habtoor Group; Maan Halabi, Managing Director; Sunderesh Iyer, Chief Operating Officer, Al Habtoor Investment and Kamal Naamani, Group Director of Operations — Hospitality & Leisure Projects.

They discussed the progress of the Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection, and future collaboration on other hospitality ventures, soon to be announced.

The St Regis Dubai at Al Habtoor City opened in late 2015. The other two hotels within the Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection will open in the coming months (W Dubai — Al Habtoor City, and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City).

Al Habtoor said he is looking forward to seeing all three hotels within Al Habtoor City open, “Soon Al Habtoor City will be buzzing with activity. This new landmark in the heart of Dubai offers something very unique. There are endless choices for visitors and guests.”

Al Habtoor City, which includes the three hotels within the Hospitality Collection is a unique neighbourhood. Aside from offering five-star hospitality, it incorporates the Residence Collection — three ultra-luxurious residential towers; and the Leisure Collection, which includes a permanent Las Vegas-style theatrical production exclusively choreographed for the city, a state-of-the-art tennis academy, a European-style boulevard lined with exclusive boutiques and stylish cafés, and multi F&B outlets.

The multi-faceted zone will attract residents, tourists and Emiratis alike who appreciate luxury living. It is a one-stop destination and the first integrated residential, hospitality and entertainment complex built on the banks of the Dubai Water Canal. The entire development spans 10 million square foot.

This landmark development, located on Sheikh Zayed Road is minutes away from main attractions such as the Burj Khalifa, and The Dubai Mall, a 20-minute drive to the Dubai International Airport and a 40 minute journey from Al Maktoum International Airport.

The Al Habtoor Group is also developing the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club in Dubai Land, which will incorporate a 136-key Andalusian-style luxury hotel managed by Starwood under the St Regis brand. The upmarket development will also consist of a residential component, which will include 162 luxury villas, 24 of which will be St Regis branded. The equestrian haven will include a state-of-the-art polo club with four polo fields, show jumping and dressage arenas and a riding school offering multiple disciplines from traditional horse riding, dressage, show jumping and polo. There will be 500 stables within the picturesque development.
