Kuwaiti shooter Hamad Al-Afasi in action during the Shooting Championship

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: On the third day of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Shooting Championship, which is being held at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Range, Kuwaiti sharpshooter Hamad Al-Afasi won first place in the double-trap competition followed by Khalid Al-Kaabi from the United Arab Emirates and Ahmad Al-Afasi in second and third places respectively.

According to a press release, more than 300 sharpshooters from Kuwait, Bahrain and UAE are participating in the men and women trap and skeet shooting competitions.

The competition was launched on Thursday, October 20 under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Secretary General of Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Associations Obaid Al-Osaimi expressed his delight about the high standard of the participants and the readiness of the utilities in the shooting complex.

Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah will represent the Crown Prince at the closing event which will be held on Saturday, October 22 at the same venue.
