AIS win Kuwait Expat League

Winners display their trophies.

The Kuwait Expat League came to a close after four months of fixtures involving eight teams from the expat community in Kuwait. Matches take place every Sunday evening at the P.S.A. Everton ground in Bayan. After a closely contested competition the Armenian team Homentmen clinched the runners up spot whilst the American International School team were clear Champions.

Top Scorer Award went to JT Walters from VAA team. Everton Academy Directors and League organisers Mike Finn and Baker Al-Nazer presented individual trophies and gifts from the sponsors Sports Direct to all the players and thanked the officials from the Indian Football Referees Association.

The defending champions AIS and Runners Up Homentmen will now compete with teams from Salwa School, Everton Youth, VAA, United Nations, Football Legends and Kuwait English School in the 2017 Championship.
