Airport employee rapes maid after kidnapping her from arrival lounge

KUWAIT CITY, June 8: A Kuwaiti has filed a case with the police accusing an airport employee of kidnapping his Filipino maid from the arrival lounge of the airport, raping her and returning her back to the airport, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the sponsor the maid told him the suspect, wearing uniform like those wearing at the airport, offered to help her to complete the procedures. She said, she does not specifically know how the man looks like, but he drove her to an unknown place, raped her and returned her to the airport.

The detectives have ordered to see the CCTV footage and questioned the employees to identify the suspect. This is seen as an irresponsible behavior of a supposed security and safety official working at the Kuwait International Airport.

The Attorney-General has ordered to a criminal case and referred the case to the Criminal Investigations Department. The sources said the suspect should be punished in the strictest terms so that it becomes an example for others. The sources also said it becomes mandatory to screen some of the securitymen, especially those working in sensitive sites. The investigation is ongoing.
