KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: While Kuwait accelerated its pace towards community immunity against coronavirus by vaccinating 70 percent of the target population, its campaign to vaccinate children aged 12 to 15 years old continues without any obstacles, reports Al-Qabas daily. The number of children who registered for vaccination has reached more than 110,000 and 90,000 of them have been vaccinated. Considering that the target population for this category is 280,000; the number of those who registered constitute 40 percent of the target and the number of daily registrants ranges from 3,000 t0 4,000. The vaccine is administered to them within 48 hours from the time they completed the registration. The Ministry of Health is focusing on the vaccination of children before new academic year, which will start on Oct 3.
