Al-Salmiya Football Club have emerged victorious in the 23rd Crown Prince Football Championship for the second time in history by beating Al-Kuwait Football Club by 1-0 in the final held at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium on Tuesday in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Faisal Al-Enzi scored the winning goal at exactly 74 minutes into the match after dribbling the defense to deceive Al-Kuwait’s goalkeeper Misa’ab Al-Kandari.

During the game, Fahad Al-Enzi earned a red card in the fourth minute of the extra time. Several scoring chances were missed by Al-Kuwait Club during the game such as the two goals missed by Abduladi Al-Khamees at the 36th and 41st minutes and another by Fahad Al-Enzi at the 51th minute as well as another goal by Fahad Al-Hajri in the 80th minute.

Al- Salmiya goalkeeper Khalid Al-Rushaidi stood firm against those chances. Al- Salmiya Club also had their share of missed goals during the match such as the one missed by the Ivorian professional Jumah Sa’eed at the 4th minute and another missed by the Jordanian player Uday Al-Saifi in the 45th minute.
