7 trapped in fire rescued

KUWAIT CITY, June 9: Firemen rescued 7 individuals who were trapped in a fire that erupted in the eighth floor of an apartment building in Salmiya area.

Public Relations and Media Unit of the General Fire Service Department stated two of the seven individuals rescued by firemen were treated by paramedics, while the officers battled the blaze in the presence of securitymen.

Statement added a team of firemen accompanied by security operatives and paramedics went to the scene after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received report about the incident, and they managed to contain the fire without any human casualty. The cause of fire wasn’t immediately known but a case has since been registered for investigation. On the other hand, firemen also rushed to the Second Ring Road and put out fire to a car. There were no casualties.
