7 hurt in Mishref pastry shop blast

KUWAIT CITY, July 11, KUNA: Seven people were injured, four seriously, in an explosion that took place in a pastry shop in Mishref Cooperative Society on Tuesday, the fire department said.

Firefighters rushed to the pastry shop, located in Branch II of the Society, located in Block Four in Mishref Area, at 8:20 p.m. local time (1720 GMT), Kuwait Fire Service Directorate’s (KFSD) said in a statement. The explosion, whose cause was still unknown, injured seven people of them four were in critical conditions, it added. The firefighters were examining the scene and another detailed statement was expected later.
