626 recover from coronavirus; 422 newly infected

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: Kuwait recorded 422new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours to up the total to 141,217, while 1 death pushed its death toll from the outbreak to 871, the health ministry said.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 6,313, with 78 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry Spokesman Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that some 6,117 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,068,193 so far.

The ministry had earlier reported that some 626 people had recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 134033.

The spokesman went on to urge citizens and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus. (KUNA)
