62 pct OK with services

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: According to a study conducted by government performance follow up agency, the average rate of satisfaction among citizens and expatriates for the state services offered to them in 2017 is 62 percent, reports Al-Rai daily.

The study included housing and medical services as well as services provided by Kuwait International Airport and Ministries Complex.

Concerning the housing services provided by Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW), the average rate of satisfaction of citizens is 61 percent. Some suggestions were also presented in the survey by the participants including their call for online services and electronic archive in order to facilitate finding files and obtaining data.

Meanwhile, the average rate of satisfaction of citizens and expatriates for the medical services was 61 percent. This was divided in the following manner:- About 68 percent of patients receiving medical treatment in Amiri Hospital said they are satisfied with the services.

Patients satisfied with services in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital were 60 percent, Farwaniya Hospital 63 percent, Adan Hospital 54 percent, and Jahra Hospital 60 percent.

Suggestions were also given to develop the level of provided services, increase the number of car parks and enhance the monitoring of hygiene in the hospital premises as well as increase the bed capacity of the hospitals in order to minimize the waiting period.

The respondents recommended studying the ability to use vacant beds in some hospital units in order to reduce the pressure on other units. Currently the bed occupation rate is 100 percent in some units while it is only 30 percent in other units of the same hospital.

Increasing the number of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) devices was also recommended.

Furthermore, the survey revealed that the rate of satisfaction for the services offered in the arrivals division of Kuwait International Airport is 59.2 percent, and in the departures division 58.7 percent. Suggestions were presented to increase the number of waiting seats, electronic search devices and number of porters.

In addition, the average rate of satisfaction for services offered in the Ministries Complex is 67 percent. It is divided in the following manner:- 67 percent for the Government Complex in Liberation Tower, 63 percent for the Ministries Complex in Jaber Al-Ali area, 73 percent for Ministries Complex in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area and 65 percent for the Ministries Complex in Jahra area.
