6,000 teachers wish to go back to Egypt

KUWAIT CITY, April 22: About 6 thousand male and female teachers living in the country expressed their desire to return to Egypt, including about a thousand with their families, and appealed to the Egyptian authorities to open the airspace with Kuwait and receive those who wish to return.

The teachers sent a distress call, confirming that their leave began about two months ago, and they are stranded in Kuwait. The teachers’ representative El- Sayyed Al-Malki told the daily, “We have identified the numbers of those who want to return through an integrated questionnaire, and they have now reached about 6,000. He added that the Ministry of Education suspended schools until August, meaning nearly five months, and gave us the green light to travel without exit permits. ”

Kuwait also provided all the facilities and will examine us at the airport. He also said that the psychological condition of many teachers has been negatively affected, and that they are ready to bear the expenses of their travel, even for their quarantine in Egypt, provided that it is within their means.
