KUWAIT CITY, April 6, (KUNA): The 53rd Kuwaiti Basketball Federation Cup kicks off with the participation of 12 clubs.
The tournament starts with the knockout stage, with four matches that will bring together Al-Jahra vs Al-Tadamun, Al-Shabab vs Al-Qarain and Al-Sahel vs Al-Sulibikhat and Al-Yarmouk vs Al-Nasr.
In a statement to KUNA, Kuwaiti Basketball Association Secretary Khalil Ibrahim said on Saturday that the tournament is expected to be very competitive between the participating clubs because it is the last tournament in the 18/19 season.
Seven clubs have won the title of this tournament in their history, Al-Qadisiyah SC 25 times, Kuwait SC 11 times, Al-Arabi SC nine times and Kazma SC three times and Al-Jahra SC twice, while Al-Sahil SC and Al-Naser SC won the title once.
