53 shops with 795 work permits found closed by PAM

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: Deputy Director of Manpower Affairs in at Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) and Head of the committee formed to follow up the issue of owners of licensed but closed shops Dr Mubarak Al-Azmi revealed that the committee works based on a specific plan approved by the representatives of the state bodies in the committee.

He said the committee will continue the tasks to move from Farwaniya to the rest of the areas of Kuwait. Dr Al-Azmi explained that the committee observed 53 closed shops in different commercial complexes in Farwaniya.

These closed shops had obtained licenses under which 795 workers were registered. Necessary legal actions will be taken in this regard. He affirmed that the work of the committee aims at confronting the phenomenon of marginal workers based on the strategy to fix the demographic imbalance problem
