5 Yrs imprisonment for Filipino captain, 1 yr for Kuwaiti in Liquor yacht smuggling

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: The “Liquor yacht” owned by a famous Social Media influencer in which a Kuwaiti friend and a Filipino captain were accused of smuggling 700 bottles of alcohol, the Criminal Court sentenced the Filipino captain for 5 yrs of imprisonment with hard labor and one year for fellow Kuwaiti.

The public prosecution had excluded the owner of the yacht from the case after interrogating him for days in this incident. The Filipino captain admitted that the owner had nothing to do with alcohol and didn’t know anything about it.
