KUWAIT CITY, April 8: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Kuwait City in possession of two bags of a narcotic herb. According to security sources, securitymen were patrolling downtown when they noticed an individual driving his vehicle in an unsteady manner. They ordered him to pull over and asked for his identification document which revealed he is a Kuwaiti citizen. Sensing his disoriented state, they checked him to find two bags of a herb, which they realized was a drug. He was arrested and referred with the drug to the Drugs Control General Department (DCGD) for investigations.Meanwhile, Farwaniya securitymen arrested an Indonesian expatriate for consuming and possessing methamphetamine. They referred him to DCGD for necessary legal action. Also, Hawally securitymen arrested two Kuwaiti citizens in possession of 51 packets of drugs. They were patrolling the governorate at night when they suspected a vehicle with two occupants and ordered the driver to pull over. Securitymen checked their details and discovered they are Kuwaitis. Sensing their nervousness, securitymen checked the vehicle and found 51 packets of methamphetamine. They were arrested and referred with the confiscated drugs to DCGD for necessary legal action.
