KUWAIT CITY, March 14: A Bedoun man was arrested for possessing 417 bottles of imported liquor and for selling liquor on behalf of a Kuwaiti citizen and a GCC expatriate, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, when Jahra securitymen received information about a Bedoun man involved in selling imported liquor in Jahra Stables area, an undercover agent was sent to the suspect for purchasing liquor. During the transaction, the suspect was arrested and securitymen found 417 bottles of imported liquor with him.

During interrogations, he confessed that he is selling the liquor on behalf of two traders — a Kuwaiti citizen and a GCC expatriate. He was referred with the confi scated liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for further investigations. A case was registered and securitymen are taking necessary steps to fi nd and arrest the other two suspects.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen and his compatriot girlfriend were arrested in Mahboula area in possession of methamphetamine. According to security sources, offi cers from Private Taskforce were patrolling Mahboula area at night when they stopped a vehicle based on suspicions and checked the details of the couple in it to discover they are Kuwaiti citizens. They checked the man to fi nd a sachet containing methamphetamine.
