KUWAIT CITY, May 10: Four Indian expatriates were arrested for running an illegal liquor manufacturing factory in Ali Al-Sabah area. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Ali Al-Sabah area at night based on instructions from Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa.

They noticed a man walking in the area who ran as soon as he noticed the patrol vehicle. Securitymen chased him and saw him enter a house. They went inside the house to discover it was being used for manufacturing liquor and they found several barrels filled with liquor.

After obtaining a warrant from the Public Prosecution, they raided the house and confiscated 28 bags of yeast, 38 sacks of sugar, 277 barrels of liquor, seven fiberglass tanks filled with liquor and KD 378 cash. They arrested the suspect as well as three other Indian expatriates who were in the house. They were referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for further investigations.
