3,432 marriages and 1,952 divorces recorded

KUWAIT CITY, June 11: Statistics released by the Department of Statistics and Research of the Ministry of Justice show 3,432 marriages and 1,952 cases of divorce were registered in the first quarter of this year, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to the statistics, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, 218 cases of khul’ (khul is when a woman is allowed to initiate a divorce through the mutual consent of the husband or a judicial decree) have been recorded.
