34,000 citations issued, 1 for deportation – Crackdown in whole country

KUWAIT CITY, March 28: General Traffic Department launched a number of traffic campaigns in all six governorates of Kuwait on March 12-18 during which a total of 34,313 traffic citations were issued, 179 vehicles and two motorbikes were seized, 72 individuals were detained in traffic custody and one expatriate was referred for deportation for driving a vehicle without a driver’s license.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the General Department of Public Relations and Media Security revealed that the smart patrol seized eight vehicles which were wanted for various cases. The department urged road users to abide by all traffic rules and regulations.

Meanwhile, General Traffic Department, with the cooperation of Ministry of Public Works, announced the inauguration of a diversion road of distance 6.5 kilometers at a roundabout on Wafra Road No. 306 opposite Ahmadi Stable area towards Wafra on Tuesday, March 28.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the department urged all motorists to be careful when using Wafra Road No. 306 and to abide by all traffic rules and regulations
