KUWAIT CITY, April 10: Farwaniya securitymen, headed by Brigadier Saleh Al-Enzi, raided two apartments in the area – one is used for manufacturing local alcohol and the other for prostitution.

The officers arrested six Asians from the first apartment with 375 bottles of local alcohol in their possession while three Asian women and two men were arrested from the other apartment for engaging in prostitution. All those arrested were referred to the concerned security department. The officers affirmed the continuation of such campaigns to track down all those who violate the laws of Kuwait

Woman distributes money to poor: A Kuwaiti woman riding a black jeep was seen distributing money to the poor and the needy people in Sulaibiya, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to reliable sources the woman is said to have distributed about KD 70,000. She has handed over envelopes to the poor, each envelope containing KD 100 in banknotes. According to an eyewitness the woman was seen handing over envelopes containing the money to elderly people.

Indian admits to thefts: An unidentified Indian who has been arrested by the Rumaithiya police for breaking into parked vehicles has admitted to committing ten thefts, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came after several joggers, particularly women, complained of someone breaking into their vehicles and stealing their handbags and one of the passersby informed the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry of having seen a thief running with a handbag and entering a public toilet. Police combed the area and seized the thief in possession of a handbag which he had stolen from one of the cars.
