Over 2,000 ‘liquor’ bottles found with Asian peddlers

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Three Asian expatriates were arrested for peddling liquor in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Hassawi areas, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media explained that the Public Security Sector received information about three Asian expatriates involved in peddling liquor. Immediately, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah formed a security team for conducting investigations. After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the three suspects were arrested in possession of 2,120 bottles of a liquid substance suspected to be liquor.

Kuwaiti trio caught: Three Kuwaitis wanted for crime related offenses were arrested in Al-Jleeb Shuyoukh area in possession of illicit substance and related tools, says Al-Seyassah. The officers were on a round of the area when they suspected a Japanese-made vehicle and ordered the motorist accompanied by two other citizens to stop for checking. The officers discovered the trio was wanted for criminal offenses.
