2 Securitymen smuggling items to inmates

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: Two securitymen of rank ‘Lance Corporal’ were arrested separately for attempting to smuggle banned electronic equipment into the Central Prison.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the Public Relations and Security Media Department explained that Jail Security Department made the first arrest when the suspect passed a scanning machine and officers discovered that he had hidden two smart phones, two earphones and two mobile chargers in his shoes.

The second suspect was arrested in possession of a smart phone, a earphone and a mobile charger during a routine inspection by Jail Security officials. Both suspects have been referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
