17 legal actions taken on public funds’ squandering suspicion

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced Sunday that 17 legal actions were taken in terms of some files on public funds’ squandering suspicion and other violations in construction contracts. In line with the fact-finding committees’ results, these files were referred to the concerned bodies – the Public Prosecution, the Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) and the disciplinary trials authority at the State Audit Bureau – to protect public funds, implement law and boost transparency, the ministry noted in a statement. These procedures were taken upon urgent directions from Health Minister Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, it made clear.
