Kuwaiti citizen shot in abdomen

KUWAIT CITY, April 20: An unknown individual shot a Kuwaiti citizen in the abdomen inside his diwaniya in Waha area. According to security sources, the victim’s family was shocked when they went to the diwaniya to find the victim, who is in his 30s, lying on the ground and bleeding profusely. They immediately took him to Jahra Hospital where he was admitted in the Intensive Care unit. Securitymen rushed to the hospital after receiving information about the incident. They were informed that an unknown individual entered the victim’s diwaniya, shot the victim in the abdomen and ran away. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to find and arrest the suspect.

Woman cheated of KD 3,000: An Egyptian woman has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing a male compatriot of swindling her, reports Al-Rai daily. The woman said the suspect convinced her to open a beauty parlor and promised to be a partner. After the woman paid KD 3,000 he is said to have escaped with the money. The complainant has submitted documents showing the transfer of money to the suspect’s account.

Asian held for drugs: Personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control have arrested an Asian for selling drugs on behalf of an inmate of the Central Prison, reports Al-Anba daily. Police investigations show in order to avoid arrest, the suspect was placing the drugs under abandoned vehicles or near garbage bins which were later collected by the ‘clients’. Acting on information securitymen set a trap for the man and caught him red-handed while placing a drug packet near one of these places. During interrogation he admitted to working for an inmate of Central Prison.

Strange object reported: When someone informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior that a strange object was seen outside the Embassy of Yemen, bomb disposal experts rushed to the spot and the object turned out to be a cooking gas cylinder, reports Al-Anba daily.
